Welcome to BiaRia Ltd., a family-run company with a deep passion for cheese-making and fermentation. Our mission is simple: to make the art of crafting artisanal foods accessible to everyone, from hobbyists exploring a new passion to professionals honing their craft.
Our story began in 2010 as hazisajtkeszites.hu, a small business offering a handful of cheese cultures, moulds, and rennet to local enthusiasts. Over the years, we’ve grown not only our product range but also our vision. Today, we collaborate with partners across Europe and offer everything needed for cheese-making, fermentation, and beyond. In 2023, we proudly launched YoBiotik.com, an international platform to share our expertise and high-quality products with the world.
Our headquarters in Érd, Hungary, is the heart of our operations, where tradition meets innovation to empower food crafters everywhere.
Panni Pozsa
From a young age, I’ve loved creating—transforming raw materials into something alive and meaningful. My journey with cheese began in 2007, crafting my first batches for my family. Watching milk evolve into cheese felt magical, inspiring me to study the craft formally and learn from renowned cheese-makers in Hungary and abroad.
By 2010, my passion turned into a business, and in 2012, I began hosting cheese-making workshops. Seeing others discover the wonder of cheese-making is my greatest joy, and I am dedicated to sharing this art with anyone curious to explore it.
Cheese-making has taught me patience, mindfulness, and the beauty of transformation. When my hands are in the process, I feel deeply connected to the milk, and each finished cheese is a small miracle that continues to inspire me.
Bendi Ballay
I officially joined our family business in 2020, but my journey began long before that. My mother started making cheese when I was eight, and the craft has been part of my life ever since. In 2017, I pursued bioengineering to gain the expertise to contribute to our growing business. My thesis focused on our sourdough starter culture—a project I’m incredibly proud of, as it brought new scientific insight and was a resounding success.
In 2019, I trained as a cheese judge, gaining a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and evolution of cheese-making in Hungary. Today, I support our operations behind the scenes, from product develpoment to managing technical processes.
In recent years, we’ve expanded beyond cheese-making to include other fermentation processes. We’ve developed innovative sourdough starters and ventured into plant-based fermentations, such as vegetable pickling and vegan-friendly yogurt cultures. These additions reflect our commitment to creating sustainable, health-conscious solutions for food enthusiasts.
