Normandy - here lies the town of Camembert - which was famous for it's cheese from the XVIII. century. Marie Harel local cheese master perfected the cheese, but it didn't have a name until Napoleon himself tasted it and named it "camembert" after it's origin. Thanks to the emperor the cheese became world famous.
Cheddar the most famous cheeses in the world: It got its name during the XII. century after the village of Cheddar. They aged the cheese in nearby caves, where constant humidity and temperature created the perfect environment. The cheesemaking technique is unique too, cheddaring, which also got its name after the village. Nowadays it is manufactured allover the world. In the UK Cheddar is still sometimes made from raw milk, to this day.
What is Caciotta? A simple Italian homemade cheese. Making it became popular in the 1960s in the central region of Italy. It can be made from any kind of milk, or even a mixture, the only thing certain is that they use raw milk. There are numerous versions, even though the cheeses are all generally made with the same technique.
Homemade Fresh seasoned Gomolya cheese. The gomolya or gömölye, is a spherical fresh cheese. Its name is derived from the Hungarian word "gömbölyű", which means spherical, ball-like. Gomolya originates from the shepherds of the Alföld and Transylvania. It's made from sheep's, cow milk, or a mixture of the two.

Homemade Emmental cheese: THE BIG HOLED SWISS CHEESE. Emmental is Switzerlands most famous raw milk cheese. It originates from the valley of the Emme river, in the Canton of Bern. It's shape is a disk 70-100 cm in diameter, 12-18 cm heigh, which weighs about 75 kg. PDO versions of Emmental are, to this day, made in pots, with traditional techniques.
Feta cheese: Feta is an essential part of the Greek kitchen. This is one of the most ancient cheese. Its name is derived from the Italian word „fetta”, which means „slice”. Feta was aged in wooden barrels, in slices, so it was sold in slices too.
Homemade Gouda cheese: Gouda is one of the most popular cheeses of the world. The cheese was first made in XIII. century in the Netherlands, in the city of Gouda. Today it makes up 50-60% of the worlds cheese consumption.
