The Plant-Based Yogurt Mix contains oat milk powder and rice milk powder, which lend the yogurt a harmonious flavor and pleasant texture. Fava protein helps facilitate the natural coagulation process, making plant-based yogurt preparation effortless. Inulin not only adds a mild sweetness to enhance the taste but also acts as a prebiotic fiber, supporting the growth of healthy bacteria, which benefits digestion.
This mix is an ideal choice for anyone who wants to create healthy, preservative- and additive-free yogurt at home. The result is a probiotic, nutrient-rich treat that stays fresh and refrigerated for up to two weeks. One packet of Plant-Based Yogurt Mix makes 1.2 kg of yogurt, to which you just need to add 1 spoonful of A4Y yogurt culture.
This means that:
Yogurt Mix: 1500 HUF + 1 spoon of A4Y culture: (3300/12) 275 HUF = 1.2 kg plant-based yogurt: 1775 HUF -> so 200 g of delicious yogurt costs: (1775/6) 295 HUF.
The full packet contains 810 kcal, so a 200 g serving of prepared yogurt contains 135 kcal, which you can enjoy guilt-free for breakfast or as a dessert at any time of the day, with fresh fruit, granola, or a bit of honey!
Preparation:
1. Boil 1 liter of water.
2. Pour the entire packet contents into the hot water and mix thoroughly with a hand blender.
3. Strain the mixture using a straining bag to remove the foam on top and ensure you get a completely smooth yogurt.
4. Cool the prepared plant milk to 42-44°C and add 1 dose of A4Y yogurt culture.
5. Ferment for 6 hours at 42-44°C. You can maintain the temperature with a fermenting machine, yogurt maker, or by wrapping it in kitchen towels (simple insulation).
6. After fermentation is complete, place it in the refrigerator, let it cool completely, and it’s ready to enjoy! :)
